Metro-North has VIP commuter to Stamford – StamfordAdvocate

STAMFORD — Metro-North Railroad had a VIP commuter earlier this week: the Stanley Cup, which traveled, with its handlers, from National Hockey League headquarters in Manhattan to NBC’s broadcast studios in Stamford. The trophy made the journey on Tuesday, the day before the Stanley Cup playoffs began. NBC Sports Group is headquartered on a 33-acre campus on Stamford’s East Side and employes some 700 full-time staffers.
