NEW HAVEN–Several cars at Union Station in New Haven have been stolen, police reported on Friday.Suspect is in the middlePolice believe a homeless man is responsible for the thefts. The suspect is described as a black man wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants with a light or white backpack. He was seen hanging around the station throughout the day and watching as people left their vehicles.New Haven Police said this is being primarily investigated by Amtrak Police, and the department was unsure of how many cars were stolen and over what period of time, though it is believed that more than one car was taken.Fox CT has a call out to Amtrak for more information.If you recognize the man in the middle of the surveillance photo please call Amtrak Police at 203-773-6000 or New Haven Police at 203-946-6304.
